Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using Zombie Video (the "Service", at zombievideo.org), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

You upload face photos (one per person, or one photo of two people) and pick a video effect. The default effect is "Zombie": one person turns into a zombie (no gore) and the two hug; other effects are available in the studio. An AI video model then renders a short video from your photos. Rendering is performed by third-party AI providers accessed through an API aggregator; files are stored in cloud object storage.

Automated safety checks review the photos and the finished video. Flagged inputs are stopped before any credits are used; a flagged video is withheld and its credits returned. If a model is temporarily unavailable, we may render your video with an equivalent or better model at the same credit cost.

We may add, change, or remove features, effects, and providers at any time; where a change materially reduces the Service, we will give reasonable notice when practical.

3. Accounts

• You can sign in with email or Google. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. Activity under your account is your responsibility; tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required where you live) to use the Service.
• One person may not operate multiple accounts to claim the free video more than once; we may block such attempts and close those accounts.

4. Photos and Likeness

This section matters most. By uploading a photo you confirm that:

• the photo shows you, or a person who has given you permission to use their likeness in this way;
• you will not upload photos of minors without their parent or guardian's consent;
• you will not use photos of public figures or celebrities to impersonate them;
• the resulting video will not be used to create or spread content that is sexual, hateful, harassing, or defamatory, or that is intended to deceive — for example, passing the video off as real footage of a real person doing or saying things they never did.

You are responsible for how you share the videos you create. We may refuse to render, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, without returning credits already used.

5. Credits, the Free Video, and Payment

• Free launch. The Service is currently free and nothing is sold. Every new account receives, at signup, the credits for one free video. There are no credit packs, subscriptions, prices, or paid previews at this time.
• Failed renders don't count: if a render errors, is refused by a safety filter, or times out, the credits return to your balance automatically and your free video is not used up. A render that completes but that you don't like is not a failure.
• Credits cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
• Paid features. Paid features are not currently offered. If they are introduced, payments will be processed by a payment provider (such as Stripe) under the prices and terms shown at that time, and our Refund Policy will be updated before anything is sold.

6. Acceptable Use

In addition to Section 4, you agree not to use the Service to:

• create sexual content, or any content sexualizing a minor or anyone who appears to be a minor — absolutely and without exception;
• infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights of any party;
• create content that is illegal where you live or where we operate, promotes violence or self-harm, or constitutes harassment, hate, or fraud;
• probe, overload, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its providers, or circumvent safety filters, rate limits, or the free-video limits.

7. Your Content and Generated Videos

• Your uploads remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host and process them solely to operate the Service — sending them to AI rendering providers to render your videos. We do not use them to train our own models.
• Generated videos are AI-generated. Subject to these Terms and to third-party rights (including the rights of the people depicted), we grant you a license to use your videos for personal and commercial purposes.
• AI models can produce similar outputs for different users; we cannot guarantee uniqueness, and you are responsible for verifying that your use does not infringe third-party rights.
• You can request deletion of your photos and videos at any time via a support ticket.

8. Availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis: we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, rendering speed, or that any given effect or provider remains offered.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time via a support ticket. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the free video, initiate fraudulent chargebacks, or create risk for the Service, other users, or people depicted in content. Sections 4, 6, 7, 10, and 11 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date above (October 7, 2026) reflects the latest revision; material changes will be announced in the product. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
